Cine São Miguel located at Rua da Fábrica, opened in 1943... here's a photo taken in 1963, 20 years later. São Miguel Paulista had an older cinema called Cine V-8 at Praça Getulio Vargas Filho which was demolished in 1938; Vander Loureiro says he saw the last picture show screened at Cine V-8 - it was a Richard Dix flick about aviation... it could have been 'Sky Giant' released on 22 July 1938 in the U.S.A.
